Although relatively new to K2, I have been in the relocation industry for almost 10 years.
I began my career in sales before deciding to make the move across to operations, fueled by a desire to support clients through major life and business transitions.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, managing some unique and memorable moves.
I have had the chance to manage numerous projects that have helped strengthen my ability to coordinate complex logistics and deliver a smooth relocation experience.
Although I never expected to build a career in this industry – and am sure I’m not the only one in this position – I’ve come to truly enjoy it and take pride in what we do.
The main thing I’ve learnt over the years is that moving will always be stressful, but a good RMC will do the heavy lifting and make the experience as pain-free as possible.
Being a military child, I understand first-hand the stress and logistical challenges that come with moving both domestically and internationally. No two moves are the same and the key to providing the best possible service is to take the time to understand what each assignee needs and make sure that the service you’re offering is tailored to their specific needs.
My background is mainly in household goods. I was parachuted into sales to help with the summer chaos and after a few successful years decided to move to operations. I was keen to learn everything there is to know to make sure I could handle any situation. I started with some very basic moves and over the years developed my skills. I had the chance to work on some interesting and intricate moves for some big names and demanding clients.
